Thirsty?

1 Come, all you who are thirsty,
come to the waters;
and you who have no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without cost.
2 Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy?
Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.
3 Give ear and come to me;
hear me, that your soul may live.
I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to David. - Isaiah 55:1 - 3 (emphasis added)

"My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns [wells] that cannot hold water." Jeremiah. 2:13

"Men are in a restless pursuit after satisfaction in earthly things. They will exhaust themselves in the deceitful delights of sin, and, finding them all to be vanity and emptiness, they will become very perplexed and disappointed. But they will continue their fruitless search. Though wearied, they still stagger forward under the influence of spiritual madness, and though there is no result to be reached except that of everlasting disappointment, yet they press forward. They have no forethought for their eternal state; the present hour absorbs them. They turn to another and another of earth's broken cisterns, hoping to find water where not a drop was ever discovered yet." Charles Spurgeon

No wonder so many seem so restless, ever roving, ever searching.. So many trapped in endless downward cycles of lust, one wrong relationship after another, careers that suck them dry.. All desperately seeking something to quench an inner raging thirst.
Come to the fountain. Turn to the Source, Jesus Christ, and find your thirst truly satisfied.

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled" (Matthew 5:6)

That's a promise you can count on, more than you'd count on Brazil to school Malaysia in a soccer game, and Federer to walk through Nadal. ;p

Give it a go.

That's very true. You've quoted one of my favorite authors.
